Leonard Golino, owner and President of Gold Shield Elite investigations LLC, proudly began his career with the New York City Police Department in 1985. He retired from the NYPD as Detective 2nd grade in the Detective Bureau after over 21 years of service. He initially managed all types of investigations, then was assigned as a Homicide Investigator. He directed homicide investigations, served as Lead Investigator and provided guidance and input to a team of Detectives during several high profile cases. Over the course of his tenure in that position he solved 46 of 57 homicide cases. In addition, Leonard worked on cold cases and solved several cases more than ten years old.
Leonard Golino is also experienced within the financial industry, which, combined with his other seasoned investigative skills, honed while working in the NYPD homicide unit, is able to provide you with a level of sophisticated excellence not typically found amongst most PI's.

Leonard Golino has successfully completed a large scale insurance fraud and medical fraud investigation that cost multiple tri-state insurance companies, hundreds of thousands of dollars in fraudulent claims that were paid out. The use of video surveillance, wired audio conversations, and witness statements led to the arrest and convictions of numerous people, including many prominent individuals. Further investigation led to the closing of several medical clinics that were also involved in the fraud scam. As a result of this investigation a well respected insurance company donated a vehicle to the NYPD vehicle fleet, in appreciation of a job well done on a very complex investigation.
